Many apologies for my lack of blog posts recently. I have also not had time to visit and comment on your own blogs, although I did have problems last week leaving comments for bloggers with word verification. Blogger is now asking for two words to be verified, one of them I can hardly make out at all (and I am NOT a robot.... what is that all about?!!). I have removed word verification from my own blog, so hope anyone trying to leave a comment will be able to do so.
My elderly mother has been ill, so I have had to spend more time helping her with shopping and housework. Poor Spotty is lame so he is needing more attention too, and of course most nights are spent rehearsing. The play is in two weeks time and it is only a short run, so I hopefully will have more time then to catch up.
I hope you are all keeping well, and when time allows I will come and visit your own blogs. And if I get past the blogger security sign in, then I shall leave a comment too! If anyone else is having the same problems, please let me know.
Love, Abby xx

Hello Abby, no worries with regards to leaving comments after all real life must come first. Very sorry to hear Spotty is lame and your mother is unwell, I wish a speedy recovery to them both. As for leaving comments I too have been asked to enter two words to prove I am not a robot, which I have been having problems with too, it’s very annoying I am no robot! Anyways I wish you the best with your play, and again a speedy recovery to both Spotty and your mother.
Regards
Edward
Hello Abby, just a short hello as life does get hectic doesn't it? I can't read the second word either- thought it was just me as I'm dyslexic. Take care and love to all your poorly loved ones. Jane xx
hope you mother is better soon. take care. and there has been much grumbling all over about the blogger words, it's not just you....
Hi Abby, so sorry to read about your mum and hope she is much better soon. Also sorry to read about Spotty's lameness. Good luck with the play.
Ruth x
Dear Abby,
You've certainly got your hands full - sorry to read your Mom is unwell, hope she's feeling beter soon. Poor Spotty, hope he'll soon be much improve - give him a hug from me please.
Don't worry about visiting and commenting, you have to sort out things your end first, I'm amazed you can remember your lines!
That new security sign-in is awful, and yes I've removed it too. No doubt an 'improvement' to Blogger :o(
Hope everything will return to 'normal'for you soon.

My darling friend,
I was just thinking of you as I was driving home!
Oh, this new word verification is HARD ON THE EYES! I can barely make out some of the words! I must check to see if I have it (I have forgotten!) and I will take it off as to make it easier! I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!! I am so sorry to hear that your mother is not well; you must be running so tired lately dearest, for I know the energy it takes to rehearse AND take care of an ailing parent. Oh our dear Spotty, he is still getting his injections? HE LOOKS LIKE A GOOD AND HAPPY BOY!!!! You know the routine...give him a BIG and gentle hug from me. Miss you both so much! Anita
Abby, I hope your mom is better.
I'm sorry for Spotty, I hope recovers soon.
Even here in Italy we have problems with
the words of the comments, I've taken are the
a nuisance.
hugs
Susy x
Sending good wishes to your poorly Mum and to Spotty. I hope his lameness is something that will soon mend. This is the time of year for hoof abscesses.....
I used to assess and teach dyslexic students. Some of the word verification patterns on Blogger are just like the visual discrimination exercises that dyslexic people find so difficult. Horrible, stressful and unnecessary things to have on our blogs, which are meant to be here for pleasure!
You have a lot on your plate..I am sorry to hear that your mother is ill..it is so hard to see our parents failing, they are supposed to be strong 'forever' in our eyes. And then, it always pulls at our heart strings when our animals are hurting too. Hopefully you are getting joy from preparing for the play..how fun!
I went on a rant on a couple of blogs about those two words and even saw one comment where she pleaded with the blog author to remove those horrid words that she could not read...I went right to my blog and took them off..how awful to put us through that..and that 'robot' comment made me have a bad attitude, what a strange thing to say to us, like someone just manipulating us..making us do things like puppets...ugh. Hopefully everyone will take them off. - Looking forward to hearing a good report about your play! xo
the new word verification system is truly abnoxious, I agree!
I hope you and your mum are feeling better :-)
I think we are all in need of some sunshine and warm air :-)
My goodness you have a lot going on! First and foremost, your mother and your pony must come first, actually you first and them them. I hope you are not running yourself to the ground.
Take care, be well and prayers for your mother, spotty and you.
Elizabeth
Hello Abby
So sorry to hear you have torubles...sending you lot's of love x
Poor old Spotty, hope he is on the mend soon.
I have changed the word verification too...what a nonsence inpossible to read and a total faff!!
All the very best of luck for your play...wish I could come and see you,,,take care my lovely x

have removed the WV from my blog too- pleased to report that so far my spam filter has captured the 12 "infiltrators" quite successfully!
Sorry to hear about your mother and Spotty, sort of pleased not to hear from you cos it means that at 1.am you're sound asleep and not blogging away!
Good luck with the rehearsals
lotsa love xx
I am sorry to hear about your Mum and I hope she is on the mend soon. Poor Spotty I hope he is also feeling better soon. I have taken the WV off my Blog also as it is a real pain. Take care of yourself.
Jo xx

I have to say I missed your lovely posts but I am so sorry to hear about your mom, I truly hope she will get better and hopefully she'll get strong enough to ride Spotty :). Txsss for word verification issue, I hate it, I don't use it either.
Family, pets are more important than blogging....but great to hear from you.
Sorry to hear about your mother this is such a low time of the year & sadly many elderly are affected..hope she will soon fell better with all your loving care.
Poor Spotty hope he also will soon improve.....roll on the Spring..where is all this warm weather we keep hearing about??
Bitterly cold SW wind here.

I am so sorry about Spotty. Please hug him for me. Hoping, that he will benefit quickly from medication.
Naturally your mother being ill, does not make things easier.
And the rehearsing.
You have more than enough to cope with.
Sending warm hugs your way. XX
Oh dear Abby, hope your Mum gets well soon, and poor Spotty. I knew you were busy rehearsing, but you have had so much more to contend with! Keep smiling dear friend.

Word verification off here too Abby
...I thought it was my failing eyesight not being able to read the words.
Good luck with rehearsals,
Julie x
Hello Abby, you poor thing you are busy. I hope you Mum isn't too poorly at the moment, and poor Spotty too. I hope you are keeping well and not run too ragged.
The word verification thing is a real pain at the moment, I agree with you, and am glad that I am not the only one who couldn't read them. Good luck with the play and your sick loved ones, with much love, Linda x
Dear Abby, please don't fret about not being out and about much in blogland. Your sweet mom and Spotty come first. But it is a privilege to care for our parents, and loved ones, isn't it. Especially Mums and horses! As for the rehearsals , they can be absolutely draining! I always got sick one day after the play ended,so make sure you keep your immune system up, and hydrate a lot!
And these bothersome words! I know what you mean! They just started a bit ago, so I guess it's part of Google's new security. Isn't it sad that we have to have double locks and deadbolts even on our blogs? I had so much trouble that I tried the sound thingy!! Oh, if you want to be really frustrated try that!!!
Better days ahead, and strength for you, Mum and Spotty!
xx

Dearest Abby

You deserve an Academy Award for your ucoming performance.
My best
Helen xx
Hi Abby, Hope that they are both feeling better soon, and break a leg in your forthcoming production!!
Much love Helen xx
Abby, sweet friend, I am so late here. I have not been on the computer much, just busy.
So sorry to hear that your mum is ill. I am sending prayers and healing wishes. And Spotty...many hugs to the darling boy, may he be healthy in no time too!
So much going on for you..please do take care of yourself, we adore you and are thinking of you!
(And yes the new verification is the pits!) ;)
Take care, dear friend..
Big Hugs,
xoxo,
- Irina
Come back Abby we miss you

SPOTTY WATTY DO-DO!!!!! (That is from an OLD American cartoon during my childhood! And whenever I mention Spotty to Ruben, he always breaks out in that old song!)
My darling friend,
OH DO I KNOW THE BUSY SCHEDULE! Both Ruben and I have been barely keeping our heads above water and it is fabulous to SEE YOU!!!!!! AHHHHH! Spotty finally got his rug off? BUT OF COURSE, the first thing to do IS to roll around! Oh , I wish I could have seen THAT!!! Thank you for giving him an enthusiastic hug from his American fan here!!!! Oh dearest, you must be running on empty by now! I so wish we could SEE your production somehow.
And your mum is on the mend? YEAH!!!! And Spotty is comfortable? EXCELLENT. We love him so, and love you so much as well. We think of you often and just recently, we acquired the DVDs for DOWNTON ABBY and we are loving it!!! The horses there make me want to RUN AND GET ON A PLANE to see YOU and the old Spot.
Thank you for visiting and commenting on my bunnies. LOVE AND HUGS TO YOU BOTH!!!!! Anita
Abby, I am sorry to hear you're Mother isn't well, that's a worry, and I hope Spotty's injury isn't serious.
I agree with you and coffeeaddict that the new blogger word verification is awful! I usually have to make two or three attempts for my comment to go through as I can't make out the letters. As a result I'm commenting far less. It's too much trouble.
Thank you so much for stopping by, dear friend...and with everything going on!
I know that opening night is soon, but I do hope you are feeling some joyful excitement..
And your mother, as well as Spotty, are improving? Wonderful news.
All the best to you, sweet Abby!
Big hugs,
- Irina
OH I MISS YOU TWO!!!!!!
The show must be underway now, is it dearest? I just came by to give you BOTH A HUG...ooooo....there goes my black sweater! It now has fluffy hairs from the old Spot...what a lovely sight....
Anita
Joining dear Anita in a hug sent across the miles to wonderful Abby and precious Spotty!

- Irina
Yes, I thought of this today!!! You must have done the show already this past weekend...And soon we will see photos, n'est ce-pas?! I was just rereading the description of the play, and saw you mentioned "Midsomer Murders"! I've never seen it, but that's on my Netflix for this week!!!
If you have another week of run, break -a-leg again, and big hugs!

Sweet Abby! I was just thinking yesterday about how incredibly busy you must be, and today I see such a lovely message!!
You are so kind to come by, and I hope you are having a marvelous time on stage...although you are probably tired?
Big hugs to you and darling Spotty!
Take care of yourself, wonderful friend..
Sending love,
- Irina
Hello! I like Anita and irina above have been thinking of you and wondering how your show is going. I hope that there will be many in depth posts and photos when the show is over. That is unless you are then off to the West End.
Take care, Elizabeth
I understand Abby. I too have been away from blogland I have nothing like your excuse, just insanely busy with job. I hope your mother is doing better and tell old Spotty to buck up. Lame or not, he's still loved.
All the best
Ruben
Hello Abby I have been just as bad if not worse than you at blogging the poor old Happy Crow has not been added to since Christmas! Thought I would just let you know that I have just done a Spotty Pony painting, pop in on the Jane Winton Artwork blog and see what you think!? xx
Oh I see my beloved was here....we think of you A LOT!!! I told you we have our own SPOTTY PONY that I clutch at night just to keep warm. We "play" with him and Ruben makes him dance and he just sends me laughing so hard.
Thinking of you dearest Abby....love, Anita
HUGS TO THE SPOT!
Dear Abby, I just thought I would pop in to let you know I have been thinking about you. I hope that all is well and that you have a lovely Easter. Love Linda x
Joining friends to say hello, and that I am thinking of you, sweet Abby! Giving hugs to you and Spotty..hope all is just marvelous.
A blessed Easter to you, dear friend!
Sending love,
- Irina
Dear Abby and The Spot, as Anita and Ruben call him. Hope this finds all of you in better spirits and that good health is restored to your mother and Spotty. Did you get nominated for the Palma D'Or or Academy Awards? Watch out Hollywood will be lurking in the wings with a screenplay
in the works, I wonder what the title will be "Abby Goes to Hollywood riding on a Pony" Ok OK, I will go to my room now.
With love,
Helen xx
I sure miss you! Anita
Dear Abby and Spotty
Sending you warm wishes from The Americas

I just thought I would come by for old times sake. Hugs to you and our dear friend THE SPOT. Anita
Over from Anita's Castles Crowns and Cottages.... Spotty has won my heart! It hard to have the time to do daily posts, and it sounds like you have your hands full with a busy life. My Mom too is now in need of care that keeps me occupied. Come to Arkansas for a visit...
I hope everything is OK at your place.
And when the time is right, you will report back! xo/m
